After a exquisite performance as a solo cellist, Lyla Novacek(Russell) accompanies her friend to a party where she meets Louis(Rhys Meyers). After a night of sharing their love of music, and love of each other, Lyla is stolen away from Louis by her father, Thomas(Sadler), who is determined to make Lyla get the most out of her career and life.
